I am

I am a graduate of the University of California Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and a recent graduate from Grambling State University. I was born in Oakland, California and raised by my grandmother since I was six years old. Once I graduated from high school, I made a promise to her that I would get my Masters degree and in 2011, I can say that I completed my goal. While at UC Berkeley I have taken numerous journalism and technical classes in order to get the tools, I feel are needed to be successful in my field. Photoshop, Flash, HTML/CSS and a Video for Web are just a few of the classes I have taken so far.

I enrolled at Grambling State University during the Fall Semester of 2004. After my first semester at Grambling, I made the Dean’s list, was a news anchor as well as a commentator and analyst for various sports shows for the television center.

During my tenure at Grambling State, I was active in numerous campus organizations such as the NAACP, Television Center, Sports Editor of the Gramblinite, President of the National Association of Black Journalists, Vice President of the National Broadcasting Society and the Grambling Sports Radio Network. Outside of school, I have worked with the Indianapolis Colts, the College Football Hall of Fame, The South Bend Tribune, The San Francisco Chronicle, the Oakland Raiders, and the San Francisco 49ers, just to name a few.

Now that I have graduated, I am currently looking for an entry level position in communications. My ultimate goal is to become the Director of Public Relations for an NFL or NBA team.
